Since 1997, Dr. Rupert Vessey has been focused on drug discovery, early clinical research and development, and experimental medicine. As an executive with drug companies such as Merck and Glaxo, Dr. Rupert Vessey’s work has contributed to the advancement of respiratory and immunological health care. His contributions include DNA vaccines, anti-inflammatory medications, monoclonal antibodies, and inhaled treatments for asthma.
A graduate of Oxford University in Oxford, England, Dr. Vessey holds multiple distinguished degrees. He has a master of arts, bachelor of medicine and surgery, and a doctorate in molecular immunology. In addition, in 2012 he was elected to become a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in London.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Rupert Vessey spends time at his home in New Jersey with his wife and four children. He is a former member of Oxford University’s rugby club and still follows professional rugby to this day. He also enjoys reading scientific journals and publications.
